Should Japan do more to protect its historic sites?

     I think that Japan should do more to protect its historic sites. I have two reasons to support my oppinion.

     First of all, many of Japanese historic sites are in demand for tourists. For example, there is a growing tendency that Kiyomizu temple, in Kyoto, is visited by many people not only from abroad but also from Japan.  These historical sites bring about positive effecs on tourists industry.

     Second of all, it is nessesary for us to learn about the story of the land. For example, Shuri castle, in Okinawa, is known as the famous building that Japanese students usually go for their school trip. Visiting historical places have good opportunities to know about the sites.

     For above mentioned two reasons, I believe that historic place in Japan ought to be protected by the Japanese goverment.
